Besides Harry Potter and Lovely Bones?

Off the top of my head, I know that the author of the Twilight book series is female.

Beyond that, some of Anne Rice's novels have been adapted to film, such as Interview with The Vampire, Queen of the Damned, and Exit to Eden.

'Eat, Pray, Love' is based on a book by Elizabeth Gilbert, 'Extraordinary Measures' is based on a book by Geeta Anand (this book is nonfiction), andthe new 'How to Train Your Dragon' is based on a book by Cressida Cowell. This is just from movies announced for this year.
