So I have a couple friends who are furries, and I want to get involved in the fandom somehow since I went to Anthrocon last year and felt very out of place because I'm not a furry, but I had a lot of fun and I loved it. My friend wants me to take him again this year...so how can I really get involved if I...

You could write a story to submit to Anthrocon's conbook, or to other zines and sites such as "Anthro." And volunteering at the con is a great way to meet people and help out the con at the same time. Don't worry about being "furry enough" -- if you appreciate anthropomorphic animal characters and think they're fun, that's what really matters!

You don't have to have talent in the fandom to be a furry :3 Being a furry is what YOU label yourself, and it's simply appreciation, not contribution :)

don't feel bad. I can't draw either. I pay others to draw my fursona and I'd say thats contributing right there. if everyone could draw for themselves, artists wouldn't make much money off commissions.

but yeah just about every con has a conbook and you can submit stories :)
