Can you name ONE medical program the government has administered well?

The VA? Not hardly, it's a disgrace!

Medicare? Nope, it's going bankrupt in a hurry.

Medicaid? Going broke faster than Medicare.

Flu vaccine? No, too little too late for an overblown epidemic that wasn't.

What in the world makes people think that health care is going to do anything but hit the skids, when EVERY example of government + medical care = unmitigated disaster?

Actually, they did an admirable job distributing the influenza vaccine. The only problem is the vaccine takes a while to make and test. The supply was low because it was being used as quickly as it was made. It also didn't help that no US company makes it. We're completely dependent on others for the vaccine, and many of them decided to prioritize their home countries.

The current health care system is broken. I haven't heard any other ideas.

It seems also that there is only one country in the world where the Government can't manage; are the Americans that much dumber than the rest of the people in the world?

Very true and isn't it sad that the Democrats think they can administer a multi-trillion dollar program. What cracks me up is that they accused Bush of being a failure, this will be 10 times worst.

Neither party can manage the said programs, safely or effectively.

Not in America but there are many other countries who seem to be doing it well. We should stop trying to reinvent the wheel and learn from them.

The government has did a fair job of keeping track of "Mad Cow disease".

Medicare and medicaid are NOT "going broke".

They get new appropriations every year.
