you really should consider buying a pick-up truck. Why rent one if you can own one. let's say that you did have a little car that would pull the trailer with the horse in it. it would not be long that you also wanted to go further, for longer periods with one or even two horse in it, as a friend might want a lift to and offer to pay half the gas...where are you going to carry the hay, feed, tack, lunch, extra clothes, buckets water, etc etc....why in the back of the truck of course. Trucks come in handy when you are not hooked up to the trailer too...buying hay, feed, fencing supplies, the list is endless. i recommend that you sit back and draw up a plan B with a truck at the top of the list.
