Why is American Idle on 3 nights a week instead of 2?

last year I remember it was on only Tuesdays & Wednesdays. Now it's on Tuesday-Thursday. Is that show becoming gluttonous of FOX?

Just until they get it narrowed down to the Top 12. Then it'll be 2 nights again.

Last year they did not do the top 24 like this

Every year the had the top 24, they had the lady sings one night, the guy sings one night and one night the result show until the fine 12

Then they will lose one person at a time, not four

They will go with both the ladies and guys sing on Tuesday and result on Thursday

This is the last week of three

Next week there will be down to 12, and back to two nights a week

They have done this all the seasons they had a top 24

Because there are (were) so many contestants. They had to do 3 nights just so everyone can sing their 3 minute songs and then have the voting results on top of that. It will be back down to 2 nites soon.

Because since there are a nice few ppl and it is the beginning, the boys ing one night the girls next then it is the result show. Then when there are only a few ppl left, they will have everyone sing together,mixed, and a results show the next night.

American Idol has more shows per week because they have more steps to eliminating the contestants.
