High Fidelity (the WHOLE BOOK is connected to music - the character reminisces using the songs he listened to at the time etc)

Killing Yourself to Live - Chuck Klosterman (not a novel, more of a study of pop culture)

Read Chetan Bhagat's latest novel - Two States. it;s is a very good practical love story.

My choices are The Inheritance Cycle (starts with Eragon), The Magicians Guild (idk the series name), The Bartimaeus Trilogy (it starts with The Amulet of Samarkand), and last one is Percy Jackson and the Olympians (starts with lightning thief, and the movie of this book SUCKS) they all have romance, LOTS of action and suspence, you HAVE to try them!!!

P.S. they are all fantasy (but AWSOME)
