Because they don't exist. Learn the history of the conflict, and you will understand what is going on today.
The Israel-Palestine conflict goes back thousands of years.
It was originally Israeli land, then they were kicked out and the Temple burned. They eventually moved back, then the Romans kicked them out and destroyed the rebuilt Temple. That's what the Western Wall is, the only piece of the Temple left standing by the Romans. They had to leave again. Then, once we get to more modern times, Israeli Jews lived all throughout Europe and some in Northern Africa. After the Holocaust, Israel, a piece of land that was historically theirs, was set aside as the Jewish homeland.
The issue now, is that three religions (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity) all see Jerusalem as their holy site. The Christians have supported Israel, and the Muslims have been fighting to try to destroy the country and get Jerusalem. What they don't realize, is that if they would stop fighting and simply live, they would be allowed to live there peacefully.
Israel has had to back out of the entire Gaza Strip and West Bank (except for Jerusalem) due to Palestinian terrorists/suicide bombers.
If you look at Israel's history since its establishment in 1948, you will see that they have been almost continuously attacked by the countries surrounding them. Quick list:
1948: War of Independence - attacked by Syria and Lebanon from the north, Jordan from the east, and Sudan from the south
1956: Sinai/Suez War - Egypt, who had been encouraging Palestinian raids from their own borders, tried to nationalize the Suez canal, Israel's only passageway to the Red Sea (a trade route)
1967: 6-Day War - Israel again attacked from all directions; they push back and gain the Golan Heights, the Sinai Peninsula, and West Bank - all were given back except the Golan Heights, which were being used as a strategic point by the Syrians to bomb northern Israel, and West Bank, which was full of Holy sites; Most of the West Bank has now been withdrawn from.
1973: Yom Kippur War - On the Holiest day of the Jewish year, Egypt and Syria launch a coordinated attack on Israel from the South and East. Egypt and Syria were backed up by at least 9 Arab states.
Some quotes from Arab leaders:

“All Egypt is now prepared to plunge into total war which will put an end to Israel” - Cairo Radio
"We want a full scale, popular war of liberation… to destroy the Zionist enemy" - Syrian president Dr. Nureddin al-Attasi speech to troops
“We will not accept any…coexistence with Israel.…Today the issue is not the establishment of peace between the Arab states and Israel….The war with Israel is in effect since 1948”. - Gamel Abdel Nasser press conference
“The existence of Israel is an error which must be rectified. This is our opportunity to wipe out the ignominy which has been with us since 1948. Our goal is clear - to wipe Israel off the map” - President Aref of Iraq
Read the quotes at the end. That's the best part.
