Why there aren't more who are generally conservative - I don't know.
Why they aren't tea baggers? Well, that's pretty obvious. Blacks and Hispanics prefer the nation that lives up to the true meaning of its creed that ALL men are created equal.
As the tea baggers openly called for the rescinding of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 AND the rescinding of the Voters Rights Act of 1965 at their convention, they have left many minorities feeling that they are in favor of a whites only America. The keynote speaker at that convention is also one who said that there is a "real America" and an unreal America. Strangely enough only white people live in her "real America."
While many tea baggers may not be openly racist or racist at all, the leaders of their movement, Tancredo and Palin have openly stated hostility to anybody who isn't white.
To many minorities this question would be like asking why the Klan is all white.
And by most of the pro-teabagging answers here (note, I said most), they obviously feel that the teabagging movement is for the advancement of white people. Strange how every time Blacks get rights - de factor or de jure - or become more a part of society there is a rise in these white's only groups.
Reconstruction - Klan
1920s and Blacks moving out of the South - Klan
1950s-1960s - White Citizens Councils
1980s - Neo-nazis and the "Moral Majority" (These two are obviously in no way connected. One favored taking away civil rights, while the other favored ignoring them.)
Today - Tea baggers
And what is the mantra you hear in each of these? "State's Rights."
