What is the difference between ESL, EFL, ESOL, ELL, ESP, which one is the most important.thank you.?

    Use search. There are more such acronyms. . There is no universal appellation to describe such teachers.

    ESL stands for English as a Second Language, EFL is English as a Foreign Language. This is the main difference, although with EFL, English might be the third or fourth language spoken rather than just the second
