It is indeed a MicroATX motherboard. On page 74 of the Acer Aspire X1700 Service Guide here: http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/manual... , you can see that the motherboard is an NVIDIA MCP73PV. That board is also used in systems made by Gateway, an Acer subsidiary. Here's the specs for that board from a Gateway link.

What size motherboard is the one in an Acer Aspire x1700?
I have read through the manual and cannot find out if it is a Micro- Atx or not. Even though it appears to be i do not want to take my chances because i am buying a new case. I also Googled the exact name from the manual and had no luck.
