Can you abuse zoloft?
He was just prescribed zoloft and although I'm pretty sure a doctor would not prescribe an abusable drug to a known addict, I just was trying to make sure. If it can be abused, he'll abuse it and now is NOT a good time to take that risk.
I guess my thing is that while I was looking online I found a couple people saying that you could and saying what happened when they did it. Mostly they just said they got really happy and felt like ultra productive and had a fast heartbeat and then threw up.
I guess I wonder if this is what actually happens, if it's just like a placebo effect, or if these people have never really done heavy drugs and are ultra sensitive to the slightest effects a drug will have. Or maybe if you take the drug every day as it's prescribed you build up a tolerance and you won't really be able to abuse it.
Either way I know if you take too much it makes you sick to your stomach.
I'm just really concerned. It doesn't sound like that intense even if you can get high, but he's a heroin addict. The slightest taste will send him over the edge.
