My ipod touch locked itself for 21million minutes?

i woke up from a nap about 20 min ago and i look at my ipod touch nd it says it disabled for 21,047,490minutes. i tried plugging it in to my computer but itunes says i need to unlock it before i can do anything but obviously i cant put the code in. i turned it off nd back on. idk what else i can do. has this...

smart XD it's probably a glitch. what you'll have to do is restore it.

put ur ipod into DFU(device firmware update) mode----how to do it,
1. turn off ur ipod(i mean off, not sleep)
2. hold power and home button together
3. release power button when u see the apple logo(keep holding the home button)
4. keep holding home until itunes comes up with a message saying that the device is in dfu mode and need to restore.

now click restore and follow the steps. if you have a back up copy of your ipod stuff, it should automatically restore ur music, etc. if not do it manually XD

every time you enter a wrong lock code, it locks you out for longer. i heard that itunes was the best way to fix this, but since it didn't work for you, i only see one option: restore it.
you will lose all data from the ipod itself, so you will have to re-sync. also, itunes will have to download the ~250MB firmware.
if you decide to do this:
put the ipod in DFU mode (easiest while plugged into computer)
hold home and sleep for 10 seconds (disconnected usb sound if connected to a computer)
after it shuts off, release sleep, but continue to hold home until itunes sees that it needs restored
let itunes restore it, and when it is done, it should be like brand new.

sorry that it requires re-sync...but it is the only way i see...

Yes. You can restore on a new computer. It will however delete all of your current data on your iPod, which you will have to redownload again. (It will be free to redownload apps and music if you already payed for it). Just plug it into the computer, and hit restore. Let iTunes do its work and bam! iPod ready to go.

this happened to me and i was so upset because i didnt wanna wait 40+ years. i decided i would have to restore it, BUT....when i connected to iTunes on my computer, the "slide to unlock" screen was there. i hope this works for everyone else :)
