The Halifax Metro Centre became into surely built interior the Seventies with the objective of attracting a NHL/WHA group. that's now too small for that via 2007 standards. in actuality the Vees and the different AHL golf equipment in Halifax in no way did that nicely, so there is not any reason to think of the NHL could have an interest. between the main probable possibilities on your checklist is Kitchener-Waterloo in basic terms because of the fact that's in south Ontario, yet exterior the section the place the Leafs could have something to assert approximately it. Winnipeg has the construction, whether that's in basic terms no longer a head-workplace city. NHL communities are dependant on their company field seats in recent times; so communities going to bypass the place the fits are, which isn't Victoria, Saskatoon, etc. yet whilst your city has a CHL group that pulls 6000 a game at ten dollars a cost tag and the gamers get 50 dollars each and every week, who desires the bloated NHL?

The net worth of NHL contracts at the Olympics is 2.3 BILLION dollars.....and you wonder why the owners would be opposed to shutting down their season.

US Olympic athletes are of amateur status, can't be paid for their participation during the Olympics. Of course after the competition, they make the big bucks.

Hockey teams are about the same price/worth (after you figure in the exchange rate).
