Why is Obama having this health care summit if he shows no interest in what the Republicans have to offer?

He seems entirely uninterested in any suggestions the Republicans have to offer, and seems hell bent on his own agenda. So why did he want to have this summit? So he could APPEAR like he wants bipartisanship?

The repubs have nothing to offer. They never did.

Summits by community organizers follow a certain format. Listening plays no part.

The modulated docile tones and syrupy homes spun stories of the Republican -- unwatchable. How can Obama sit there and endure their clumsy pandering and posturing?

because it is a show to make it look like he listens to the GOP when he does NOT!

the GOP has proposals like medical malpractice reform, funding for high-risk insurance pools, allowing Americans to shop out of state for lower-cost plans and expanding health savings accounts.... but Obama is NOT listening!

he wants to look bipartisan. And he is trying to buy time, he really has no clue what to do. He wants to look good until he actually gets something out in the open.
