Hi Icon, I hate that too but there is a way to prevent that for most stores.
Many stores websites have an option to see if a particular item is available in a store in your area when you enter your zip code. Some products will also state that it is "Available Online Only".
(Sometimes you have to add the product to your cart first and go to checkout to find this stuff out).
A couple of weeks ago I checked out a washing machine on the Best Buy store's website and found it only available in one out of 5 stores in my area. It was also on sale for $20 less online. I printed out the product details with the sale price and brought it to the store. When I got there they had it in stock but it wasn't on sale in the store so when I showed them the online price they gave it to me for that sale price!
So it was awesome, I found what I wanted online, drove to the store where it was in stock, bought it at the sale price, and had it in my truck and back home in less than an hour, Woohoo.
