Do you think the song "Into the Ocean" by Blue October has some transcendentalist qualities?

That song is so many things! I wanted to listen to it before I answered you, but I think my son must have misappropriated my CD. So I put in Snow Patrol instead... Back to your question! "Into the Ocean" can be heard literally as a fear of swimming and being unable to reach the shore. The ocean however could be many things! Start with love, drowning in it, and needing your lover to hold you up so you don't get lost in strong emotion. You could call the ocean life, as well. Listen to the song over and over while you relax with your eyes closed, and let the different imagery flow. This should actually be a really fun paper to write! :)
