I'm in the UK and my instructor told me to always park with my wheels pointing straight ahead so if you're doing your test here (Yahoo really need to start divising these sort of questions by nationality!) then I suggest doing that.
However, logically if you're parking uphill and you don't trust your handbrake, leave the wheels pointed towards the kerb (or where the kerb should be if there isn't one) regardless of which side of the road you're driving on. That way if your car starts to roll, the kerb will either catch it, or your car will roll off the road as opposed to rolling into oncoming traffic.
Anywho, I doubt this would count as a 'Major' in your test if you left the wheels pointing the wrong way anyway. (that's talking in UK tests, I have no idea how driving is 'marked' in other countries!).
