What are some good japanese music artists/songs?

I love japanese music, but I only know a few random songs...anyone know some good songs or artists I can possibly get into? I generally like japanese pop/rock.

I know one of the most popular bands in Japan at the moment is Arashi, who pretty much dominated the sales charts in 2009. They have some good songs like Ashita no Kioku, Truth, Believe, Season, Be With You, Crazy Moon ~kimi wa muteki~, Kotoba Yori Taisetsu na Mono, Love So Sweet, etc. You should definitely look them up on youtube, etc.

Some other artists who I love are

Anna Tsuchiya (Songs: Rose, Stand By Me)

Aqua Timez (Songs: Niji, Yasashii Kioku ~evalasting II~, Honto Wa Ne)

Ayaka (Songs: Start to 0 (Love), 1・2・3・4, Mikazuki, I Believe)

BoA (Songs: Lady Galaxy, Winter Love, Do The Motion, Still)

the GazettE (Songs: Nausea and Shudder, Barrette, Cassis, Silly God Disco)

KAT-TUN (Songs: Real Face, Rescue, White X'mas)

Kinki Kids (Songs: Anniversary, Jounetsu, Jounetsu)

L'arc~en~Ciel (Songs: Honey, Drink It Down, Stay Away, Hitomi no Jyuunin)

    Nightmare (Songs: The World)

Utada Hikaru (Songs: Eternally, Flavor of Life, Prisoner of Love)

w-inds. (Songs: Shiki, Everyday, Eien no Tochuu)

Suga Shikao (almost as good as Spitz)

    T.M. Revolution

    Stereopony (a very likeable band)

    Nobodyknows+

Utada Hikaru (can't say anything, haven't heard her songs, but my firend loves it)

Shibasaki Kou (a very good deep female voice, though pretty pop)

Ayaka (well, her best quality is that she's married to Mizushima Hiro :) )

I don't really like Visual Kei bands (except for L'Arc en Ciel).

Most of the JRock bands I like are visual kei bands/artists such as Miyavi, An Cafe, Luna Sea and Fanatic Crisis. My favorite by far is Alice Nine(they're guys).
