Spirit Reaper's Effect - This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Destroy this card when it is targeted by the effect of a Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster. If this card successfully attacks directly, your opponent randomly discards 1 card.
Because of the fact that Spirit Reapers effect says that it has to be targeted just not affected by the effect of a Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster, Swords of Revealing Light would not destroy him weather he is face-down or face-up on the field.
This is because Swords of Revealing Light does not target a monster but it simply affects all your opponents monsters.
Cards that would cause Spirit Reaper's destruction effect to activate *Shrink, Enemy Controller, any equip card, Brain Control, Mind Control, Call of the Haunted (if he was Special Summoned) etc...*
Cards that would not cause Spirit Reaper's destruction effect to activate *Book of Moon, any Monarch that can target monsters, Compulsory Evacuation Device, etc...* these cards would not destroy Spirit Reaper due to the fact that they resolve with him no longer being on the field / face-up on the field.
Hope this helpedSource(s): Bbanync@yahoo.com

Swords of Revealing Light doesn't target, even if Spirit Reaper is your only monster. Thus, Spirit Reaper will just get flipped face-up and that's it.

Yes if it's face down and gets flipped, if it's face up then no it doesn't get destroyed
