Sorry, no pictures, but it's a simple 'U' trap in the line that isolates the home
plumbing from sewer gas and pests.
Similar in function to the ones under your sinks.
It also 'traps' solids that might otherwise clog your buried sewer line for easier removal.

I can't show you pictures, however I can tell you the house trap is designed so you don't get sewer gasses coming into your house. The gasses cannot penetrate water that gets "trapped" in this loop installed. If you look under your sink you will see something similar to your house trap.

At one time house traps were installed in the main line and could be in the basement or out in the yard. Now they are not legal so you won't see one in newer construction.
