Snow days are starting to add up at Pittsburgh area schools and many parents have been asking Channel 11 whether they will all have to be made up.

The Pennsylvania State Education Association told Channel 11 these missed school days may not have to be made up since Pennsylvania is in a state of emergency, but the emergency declaration does not automatically qualify districts for forgiveness of days.

Each Superintendent in Pennsylvania must write a specific letter about their district's situation and that is sent to the Department of Education who makes the determination.
