I've read Vampire Academy, the host, and The sookie stackhouse series if that tells you what kind of books a like to read. but i don't want anything scary or gross. suspense is good though. anyone have any recommendations?

Please take the time and read "Sea Change" by Aimee Friedman--its an awesome book, one of the best teen-romances I've read in quite a while. I e-mailed Aimee on her website and she said that if sales of the book went up enough, she would consider writing the sequel. Spread the word!
