Mitsubishi rear-projector screen t.v. is showing a band of red and blue across the picture?

It's like the pictures are "doubled" with a strip of red and a strip of blue. Does anyone know what could be wrong with it?

    It would cost too much money for repairing a older tv ,

    Junk it and get a nice sized LCD or Plasma .
