Political motivation could easily have played a part of this murder considering the desire for the party to maintain a Patriot Act. Under the patriot act, this crime would be considered 'domestic terrorism' instead of murder. Murder is more of a crime than terrorism since it devalues a human life, which is recognized in the Constitution. Terrorism is simply a bunch of misguided persons who choose violence as a means of proving a point. There are many forms of terrorism which all do not lead to murder. Within the patriot act, there is a higher drama effect in re to the crime. In traditional law, the dry interpretation is not nearly as dramatic, but much more accurate. Fact is, this was a horrific murder and the person(s) responsible must be found and charged with murder. It is not terrorism, although it is a horrific crime. The terror lies within the reader--and cannot be construed into a political agenda.
