Why Say Sorry When I Didn’t Do It? The Dilemma of the Wrongfully Convicted

Update:

    Anyways

Innocent people may admit the crime under the harsh condition of police interrogation (physical/psychological torture, threaten, lack of facilities…etc)

Traditionally, defendant who shows remorse in court is more likely to obtain a lenient sentence from judge and juries.

Therefore, accused who remains his or her innocence or doesn’t admit the crime usually get less chance for parole (conditional release), and that is a dilemma about admit a crime or not I think.
