As one other person said... Its the beginning of the end.. Massachusetts is a Democratic state. And a republican got elected! Im from mass and it just goes to show, that the american people and we know it, are realizing that obama wasnt the greatest choice.

No it will not be the end. If anything, it's a good thing his victory came in early during Obama's administration because this way, Obama will learn to incorporate everyone's views and not just shimmy his way through Congress with his agendas since the majority has been Democrats. This way more people's views will be considered in passing legislation.

On a different note, I wish people would just be open-minded with all the issues and not take sides simply because it's a conservative or liberal issue. If you're a Democrat, but you believe we should lower taxes- then say so and stand for it! Likewise, if you're a Republican, but you agree with Pro-Choice- then say it loud and proud as well! This is what the beauty of this country is all about. There shouldn't be such a defined schism in Congress where the Republicans end and the Democrats start- I surely hope senators and representatives vote for what they believe in, not what lobbyists bribe them to do or what they feel isn't right.
