Liberals have to have a villain, and Bush has been that for a year, but it is now his problem. His excuse has run out.

And of course, he has done nothing, so he finds another villain, the banks and wall Street.

Already the banks are talking about increasing fees, because every economist knows, when business pays fees and fines, they pass that on to consumers.

So, say thank you Mr President, and maybe ask next time, just don't say ANYTHING, how about that?

an entire year is long gone. It became a waste of time, yet they figured that they had a majority and bypass what they might, yet did no longer discern on the blue canine. nonetheless others have been waiting to pay interest on extra suitable than one factor and chew bubble gum on the comparable time, yet no longer those adult males. they say 2/3rds of the stimulus money is sitting drawing dirt, which will have create a million/2 a million jobs, whether in basic terms for 18-24 months. those could have been off unemployment and been waiting to pay mortgages and spend money interior the community and for this reason help the financial equipment and in all threat create jobs. What a waste of time and ability. Have a brilliant year.

I will tell you. First of all obama is trying to fix everything at once which is why he is dabbling in a bit of everthing. However history has turned a trend out that usually when you have a liberal president you have a conservative majority in congress and when you have a conservative president you have a liberal majority in congress. Although you do not usually get the supermajority like what happened this last time.

Since president obama wants to pass healthcare legislation he had to try to shove it down everyones throats before he lost the democratic supermajority because as soon as he did his healtcare bill is shot. And if you did not realize since browns election is has been shot.

I am guessing he will soon start to focus on the economy now that he knows he will not get his healthcare passed.

He thinks fixing healthcare will help improve the economical problem. If you ask me, it would much more beneficial to make a program for those who need health insurance where they could pay cheaper fees and do that by regulating the insurance company a little more instead of letting them run free. Throwing up your hands and just giving everyone free healthcare because you can't figure out another solution is a cop out.

Face it, the whole idea behind any government project is to give them more control over our lives, and they have already in few short months taken over most of the auto industry, and banking industry.

To apply or try to find a fix to the economy does not fall in line with their plans, besides, they are all well to do, so what do they care about the rest of us ?

And Bill Clntoons mantra, "it's the economy stupid", so when elected what was his first move to correct it? yep, he and his cronies gave us the single largest tax increase in history until that time, and then proceeded to spend like crazy.

Some fix, but typical of the liberal machine thinking.

Just wait.....I think the election in Mass. will change their focus from health care to the economy. If people don't have jobs, they will not have health insurance either. When people can't pay their bills ..... they will be "out for blood". Clinton was right. When we have jobs and can pay our bills we "let things go", but when we can't pay our bills we get "pissed off".......

He's doing both. Health care is also 1/6 of our GDP. Addressing some of the issues in health care will have a beneficial effect on the economy.

Bloomberg News reports that the U.S. economy probably grew in the closing months of 2009 at the fastest pace in almost four years. The economy is improving.

Because he already Tried to fix the economy.

He Thought by Bailing out all the big Auto company's and Banks with OUR money, would fix everything.

So now that he Thought he had the votes to force Health care reform down our throat.

He wants to leave his Presidency in 3 more years saying that he actually did something positive.

  • 1 decade ago

He did both. Contrary to the experience of the previous term, presidents can multi-task. One of his first actions, the stimulus, was 1/3 tax cuts.

Also, health care/insurance reform would have great effect on the economy.

However, now he is apparently mainly focusing on jobs, and yet the cons are criticizing him for that.

Neocon, I did not hear President Obama was making any excuses. National Health Care as important as jobs and economy. Barack Obama is your president and he knows better what to do and how to run country.
