Training usually involves another person giving you instructions on how to do something better or it may involve special equipment that is not actually used in the performance of the ultimate action. For example, your goal may be to learn how to ride a bicycle so you start off with training wheels which eventually come off after you've learned how to peddle and balance. You are training to ride a bike. Then when the training wheels come off, you ride your bike and try to pop a wheelie again and again, you are practicing your bike riding skill. Training vs. practice. They are similar and can in some ways, be used interchangably in conversation but to be more precise, training usually includes some extra element of advice or assistance, be it with a person or coach or extra equipment.
