If something was happening to Earth and we had to get off. Is it possible to live and travel in space like that?

Well,Seeing that we're Constantly Killing Mother Earth With The Horrible People these day's,And how Much we're Progressing in technology,Then i'd say yes.On the other Hand i'd rather be a Fit and healthy Wastelander On the Dead planet, then Just wander in space in a floaty wheelchair and have robot's do all the work.

Besides,What would you do if you Lost all that if you Lose All of the energy in that ship?Roll around?

I love that movie, not because it would come true but because it's so cute...to the point of improbable. Of course we can travel in space like that giving enough time for development, but to abandon mother Earth? Unthinkable!. Not to mention not all of people on Earth will fit into a single ship and have enough energy to supply everyone with food, water and oxy while they becoming pork barrels.
