    No, this is a fraudlent or "phishing" email, and they're basically trying to get your information to steal your identity.

    IRS will NEVER email you.

    I mean, think about it...why would you be so special out of all of the tax filers in the US to have the IRS email you with a figure of your taxes without you even doing so?

    Never ever answer emails. The IRS does not work in this way, this is a SPAM email, the website that this may lead you to may look good but it isn't. IRS notifies everyone through Mail (snail mail) and they never do your taxes for you.

    NO If you check the IRS website it will tell you that they DO NOT sent out emails delete that from your computer FAST.

    No, it's not from the IRS. It's a scammer trying to get you to give out your personal information.

  • NO,The irs will NEVER contact anybody by e-mail at all.They will send you a certified letter instead.
