Brand vs company - what is the difference between the two?

What is the difference between a brand and a company? If asked to name my favorite brands... is a specific airline a brand or just a company? What about Subway? How about tropicana? I there a difference between a brand and a company?

    Sometimes... but most of the time, a company sells their products under a name similar to their company name. To point out some who does not...

    There's this manufacturer who holds a contract with Apple to manufacture Apple iPods; it's a Taiwanese company named "Hon Hai" but they reveal themselves through the name "Foxconn"

    Company is simply a Business organization and brand means Trademark, Logo or Trade name under which a product or service is sold in market. For many products and companies, branding is an essential part of marketing. Simply Airlines, Subway are companies.Nokia cell is brand and nokia pvt limited is company
