It depends on how fit the horse is!! I had an idiot TB horse for fixing, he was a total hyper jerk, I worked hid a couple days and suggested they just get rid of him. We were asked to go on a cattle drive in west Utah, I decided to take him and see If i could ride him hard enough to make him think. We got to the desert at daylight, and gathered cattle most of the day and then drove them to a small town where we corraled them it was almost dark, I even ate a sandwitch on him just to keep him moving. Left the horses there and started out early the next morning to drive them to the range they were going to. We did not finish there till evening and we rode continuously. I have no idea of how far but it was a long long ways, He settled down a little, but still a jerk, I got him so he would canter slow and rein ok . But the people were novice and he about wiped them out. They wanted me to sell him for them. No Way, he was definitely a boomarang horse.
Moral of this story. If you get one of those idiot jerks, do yourself a favor and send him down the road. God made a lot of horses for the alpo can, and I am sure he was one of them.
