Don't u think not enough has been done to study the safety of dragon boats, bridges, ferries, etc?

Shouldn't there be a Safety/Operation Officer(or official) be employed for every school or event? And that the relevant authorities give periodic safety checks on small and big ferries regarding the provision of safety vests? Must there be a hundred innocent casualties before we implement effective remedial steps? There doesn't seem to exist a Safety Culture in our communities.

I understand what you are saying and yes there should be more of an effort to enforce safety precautions. for example the express boats that run up and down sarawak have life jackets but they are locked away in a glass cabinet! hmmm

The blame should be put to the student who failed to wear the life jacket. Most of them who are wearing the life jacket are save. The teacher shouldn't changed the rehearsal area. If so they have to report to the Police.
