Having trouble with movie maker 2.6?

Im trying to import music to movie maker on vista and everytime i drag it to timeline an error pops up saying could not be imported. The selected file is not valid or is corrupted. please help:)

I think movie maker is the most well known free software for making a slideshow.

It usually locates under C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe
