Is Obama now backing Coakley in a last ditch effort to save his No Special Interest Left Behind healthcare bil?

So check this out: The bill Democrats need 60 votes to pass in the U.S. Senate is a HUGE sell-out to corporate lobbying interests for the Insurance Industry and BIG PHARMA. Scott Brown (R-MA) raised over $1.2 million in small donations earlier in the week. INSURANCE AND BIG PHARMA LOBBYISTS WILL BE HOSTING a high dollar fundraiser for Coakley (D-MA) on Tuesday.

Doesn't this tell you everything you need to know about this alleged "reform" bill??

On scale of 1 to 10: How badly did Dems sell out to corporate lobbying interests with this helathcare bill? (For a more detailed look out how Dems sold out the electorate to corporate America)

"They believe that by defeating Martha, and replacing Ted Kennedy with her Republican opponent, they'll be in a position to tie up the Senate and prevent a vote on health insurance reform, financial reform and other issues so important to working families in Massachusetts and the nation," Obama said. "The outcome of these fights will probably rest on one vote in the Senate."

With Democrat Martha Coakley in trouble in the Massachusetts special election to fill Ted Kennedy's seat, Democrats could lose vote No. 60 for President Obama's health-care bill. In response, an army of lobbyists for drug companies, health insurance companies, and hospitals has teamed up to throw a high-dollar Capitol Hill fundraiser for Coakley next Tuesday night. The invitation is here.

Of the 22 names on the host committee--meaning they raised $10,000 or more for Coakley--17 are federally registered lobbyists, 15 of whom have health-care clients. Of the other five hosts, one is married to a lobbyist, one was a lobbyist in Pennsylvania, another is a lawyer at a lobbying firm, and another is a corporate CEO. Oh, and of course, there's also the political action commitee for Boston Scientific Corporation.

All the leading drug companies have lobbyists on Coakley's host committee: Pfizer, Merck, Amgen, Sanofi-Aventis, Eli Lilly, Novartis, Astra-Zeneca, and more. On the insurance side of things, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, HealthSouth, and United Health all are represented on the host committee.

Politics can be really confusing, even to pols. I thought Conservatives in Congress were 'supporting' both the Pharmaceutical and Insurance industries with their totally NEGATIVE votes on the reform of health care. Now, you accuse the Democrats of supporting Coakley so that those industries will win the fight for reform. This is a spin, on top of a spin! Have you considered this: Those lobbyists know the reform will be passed, but they hate the House bill, with the public option and, would much rather have the Senate bill with no public option and all of the other things the Senate gave away?

Obama is pulling in voters who've under no circumstances voted. He has a manner of inspiring people to a technique that persons had in the previous given up on. each and every election is a lottery we under no circumstances know what we are starting to be. people who voted for GWB voted for financial conservatism and a constrained federal government. They have been given the biggest enlargement of government by way of fact the forties in the advent in the dep. of fatherland secure practices and a doubling of the national debt. i think of people who voted for him misplaced the lottery. Will he be distinctive? His defined policiy plans might positioned us in lots extra powerful subject than we at the instant are. Obama is vastly winning black voters, yet he's winning all forms of voters as evidenced with the aid of his win in Iowa that's ninety 8% white, besides as wins around the midwest the place there are very small populations of minorities, his allure is around the board. there is unparalleled media coverage international of our presidential election, yet maximum of those foreign places can not call the republican applicants by way of fact they're in easy terms following Clinton/Obama race. Obama can win, i did no longer think of he ought to 3 months yet he can actual win. Will the racism disappear? No, and countless newshounds and final I study a nobel peace prize laureate envisioned that if he does win he would be assassinated. it rather is a real danger and can be terrible, even though it says something some individual who's keen to danger all of it to stand up for what they suspect in. It says something some individual who strengthen into editor of the Harvard regulation assessment and could have made thousands and thousands yet as a substitute to be a community organizer and enhance the lives of the fewer fortunate. I for sure appreciate Obama, i appreciate Senator Clinton, and that i appreciate Senator McCain besides as Governor Huckabee. they're all people who've given very much to this us of a, or their states, yet you do no longer know what you will get with any of them, you may in easy terms vote and need they stick to what they have promised.
