What colors look good with red?

For months I thought I would be going with a light green for my wedding in June but had to just change it to red. I am clueless when it comes to matching colors and was hoping to get advise on nice colors to go with red. The wedding is in July and I already know that while I love the red/black combination, I don't want that. Also, I am a visual person so I would love to see sample pictures for the recommended color combinations. Thanks!

Black and white with red accents is the best! If you like it, why don't you want to use it? It is such an elegant look.

I have been to a wedding where these colors were used . . . and it was so pretty!

Here are some red and green photos . . . but to me they still look a bit Christmas-y.

Sage Green - which tends toward a silver gray. Soft Buttery Yellow - relaxing and positive Beige/Creme/Taupe - neutrals that will tone down the red and give it a more classic feel. (my # 1 pick) Use bright white trim with any of these colors. Buy a spread that incorporates the wall color + white. say a plaid or floral pattern. then buy a couple of throw pillows in the same color as the wall. They don't have to match the walls, just be kinda the same color. The same with some candles. Last find a great picture you really like. Your room is guaranteed to be place you and your friends will enjoy. Go to thrift stores and yard sales to find great accessories at a cheap price. Hope this helps.

The color complement to red (that is, opposite it on the color wheel) is green. So that's always a good color to bring in as an accent, like perhaps as an accent wall. Don't go too intense when painting walls! Pick a really light pale green, but here's another trick: Get a green with some black pigment in it (go towards the darker colors on a color sample strip). The darker shade will give it some body and substance without overpowering with intensity. If you're not too big on green, consider doing just one wall as an accent wall, and leaving the other three walls white.

I plan on having a red wedding myself. I'm born on Christmas, so I'm wanting a December wedding. And I'm just using the colors red and white. I think it's so fresh and beautiful

From that website I loved the red and chocolate brown together! It looked beautiful.

Gold, green, white, ...blue is nice, BUT somehow it reminds me of flags (US flag and my country's flags, because they have lots of red and blue), so I don't know, but I think a red and blue wedding might look like a Fourth of July celebration....ooohhh... but your wedding's in July, so it might work.
