Most black people don't like to be called colored, even though they use the term "people of color" when talking about racial issues amongst each other. But I think the term "colored" was used as a derogatory word at one point. One of my friends who's the biggest redneck on the plannet uses the term "colored". He don't mean it in a racist way, but I've told him a 1000 times not to use that word and he still says it, and so does his family. My wife who is black don't find the term "colored" to be offensive. However, she said that she could see other black people getting offended. I wouldn't use the term, it sounds like a word that a racist hillbilly or a southern honky would use. I'm white by the way, that's why my name's Cracker Jack. What?! Y'all thought my name meant the popcorn candy?! Get the f*ck outta hear!! LoL
I'm married to an ebony princess, I also got black in laws who I observe alot and am very close to.
