Let R have probability mass function (pmf) p(r) = 1/8 for r = 1, 2, . . . , 8.?

What does this mean please?

Then I have to:

find the cumulative distribution function (cdf) of R

What does this also mean!

Thanks for any help.. I have tried the internet, but it is all too complicated.

R may take the values form 1 to 8 with equal probability of 1/8:

    P(R = 1) = 1/8

    P(R = 2) = 1/8

    P(R = 3) = 1/8

    P(R = 4) = 1/8

    P(R = 5) = 1/8

    P(R = 6) = 1/8

    P(R = 7) = 1/8

    P(R = 8) = 1/8

R cannot take any other values

The cdf of R is P(R <= t) and is often written F(R)

    Here F(R) = 0 for t < 1

    F(R) = t/8 for 1 <= t <= 8

    F(R) = 1 for t > 8

Note how F(R) must be defined for all values of t.

No. there have been actual acts and gadgets and words used. dirt, spit are evoked. Touching became used. nutrition became offered. Prayer and instructions have been mentioned. The Gospel of Matthew provides Jesus as a clean Moses. If Jesus had used a wand as you speculate that's possibly he could have reported it as Moses used a set and a (bronze?) snake. observe that different Jewish instructors of the time did no longer use wands. Jesus became no longer diverse adequate in type to be a shopper of a wand and function it no longer reported in written or oral legends. that's beneficial to to analyze non-canonical writings--gnostic and otherwise. i do no longer bear in mind any that even reported wands. good mind's eye and exciting question, yet i could say no.
