why is the US Naturalization form asking if I have a title of nobility outside the US?
What do you think is the purpose of asking this? The US certainly does not recognize such titles and I do not see why they would inquire. If such question exists on the form, I'm sure its used in something.
well you can have a title of nobility and not be in the royal family.

If you have a title of nobility, you might have to retrench your title in order be naturalized. I guess it goes along the same lines as abdicating the throne if you're royalty.
I'm not expert, but that would be my guess.

the US won't know the call one you alter into American, as individuals can't have titles. My wager is they anticipate you to grant it up. although, the country from which the call originates might perhaps nonetheless realize it. It places a guy or woman in a splash bit a catch 22 situation. some worldwide places will enable a guy or woman to apply a "remote places" call, however the US does not.
