    The universe is a heterogeneous mixture.

    Is is not the same throughout.

    If you take a sample at one point you will find a planet.

    If you take a sample at another point you will not find a planet.

    If it was heterogeneous the composition at every point would be the same.

    Heterogenous.

    Because homogenous = Like... Cake dough, diferent components but you look at you only see dough, you can't identify by looking the components.

    Heterogenous = Water and sand, you look and right away you can see a water phase and a sand phase with no need of gear.
