I think good looks make your life easier. It's easier to get a boyfriend, get a job, get elected, make friends, etc., because people are naturally attracted by beauty. It's an advantage just like being smart or athletic provide advantages (at least in the U.S.). However, the biggest advantages in my opinion are self-confidence and growing up in a strong, loving family with both parents in the home. Confidence attracts people like a magnet and it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with your looks or ability. But happiness is a state of mind. You won't truly be happy if you're always obsessing over your looks, your social life or life's inequalities. You're more likely to be happy if you have loyal friends, people to love and who love you, satisfying work, the opportunity to give back or volunteer within your community, and an attitude of gratitude for what you do have.
