If I say to you, today is June 16, 2011. You and everyone else using the same calender would agree. The fact of the matter is, it is not June 16, 2011. It is known, there are several years missing in any calender, most especially from the BCE time period. No one knows the time and day when Jesus will return, because no Human truly knows what the day, today actually is; and no one knows the mind of God. The very best effort to know, is what we have we have chosen to use to preserve what we know, and approximate what we do not know. It is said the Universe is 13.6 billion years old, in everyday conversation I don/t say 13.6, I usually say 14 billion.. I am picking a nice round number, so as not to weigh the conversation down with technicalities. As far as approximations are concerned, I'm off by several 100 million years but the point is still understood. The Prophets have indeed been verified by many theologians, the incredible and impossible prophesies that have verified are an example of the God/inerrant Word. We see God's word laid-out in front of us and we see it in action when we are in action. First, humbly seek him through his Word, knock at the door of understanding an the door will be opened. The technicalities of the mathematics are impossible and quite unnessesary to "porve" the Bible correct. It is proven correct by those individuals whom God calls to seek humbly and find, when they do, they will know. You are correct about the prophesy and it's legitimacy, just necessarily about the dates alignment. That's ok though, it's nice to see a potential possibility.
