Why are Chinese Human Rights so much less of an issue now?

This new train of thought seemed to get rolling when Hillary shocked the world saying that there were more pressing matters at hand.

It seems that we literally took a back seat on human rights in order to get some cash. That doesn't sit right with me because it says quite a bit about our role in the world.

If this administration is about leveling the playing field, well then who's playing field is truly being leveled?

Because the biased liberal media won't do anything to make waves for their exalted leader Obama. They're basically protecting him.

Well, when has China ever been big on human rights? And even in country supporting human rights, they still manage to treat other people like crap. If you've ever been in Canada, you would see that some of the biggest grocery stores are chinese due to their low prices. And how do they manage to have such low prices? By paying their workers literally $2 an dollars for cutting fish, sweeping the crap off bathroom floors, and other delightful jobs. And they might be claiming to 'step towards democratic side,' however, the idea of violent suppression is still a good one in eyes of the chinese gov. A few months back (after the Summer Olympics) there was a strike happening, and what was the first way of dealing with it? Deploying thousands of armed forces and tanks to surround them threatening to shoot if they stop. Sorry, can't give more info. on it, I read about it in the Toronto Star, a while back.

Politics today are run by Lobbyist, Lobbyist are owned by large corporations, Large Corporations usually are the ones to hire those people into doing terrible work for terrible pay. From 1929 until now, the only thing present in the higher class of this society is Greed, and how far they will go to obtain it.

We can only focus on two issues at a time. Right now we are focused on our jobs and worried about losing them and on the trillion dollars in additional taxes that the health care plan is going to stick on us.

Hillary Clinton used to be on the board of directors of Walmart. You knew that, right?

Apparenty she's willing to be much more "flexible" on human rights as long as the PRICE is right.

The USA is addicted to cheap imports from China.

    They are Walmart junkies.

They lurch off like zombies to Walmart.

They moan in unison "Cheeeep prices! Cheeeep prices! ...."

Because Obama wouldn't mind getting a forced abortion kind of thing going here too. The Chinese level of government interaction has to be appealing to Obama. He wants to know how to get there.

We also owe them a lot of money and Obama wants to keep that cash coming to pay for all the new stuff he wants.

hey, at least obama talked about it with hu jintao or whatever the hell his name is.

yeah, i know, hu told him to go pound sand and obama tucked his tail between his legs, but that's still more than bush did when he flew AF1 to beijing at taxpayer expense to watch the olympics.

(and yet contardicans are losing their minds cuz barky flew his family to hawaii for the holidays... talk about double standards!)

  • Because our jobs and wealth were transferred to them. They now dictate to us how things should be and we dance to their tune.
