Making our new year's eve party jazzy!?

My husband and I are having a jazzy new year's eve party, and I'm stumped on music. We've got a few artists like Duke Ellington and Frank Sinatra, but i was hoping to get some more modern artists, like Sondre Lerche and Richard Cheese. The ages will range anywhere from 21 to 30, and I'd like something that's upbeat and some hits that everyone will know. Any suggestions would be wonderful. Have a Merry Christmas!

Good call with Frank and Duke Ellington. However, if played too many songs in a row it will start to get a old man vibe and put people to sleep. Especially with the 21-30 crowd. Mix in some neo-soul and instrumental newer songs. Kenny G is good at doing instrumental musicals. Might I suggest these for you to download and include in your mix...

Luther Vandross - take you out tonight - jazz instrumental

Don't know why Norah Jones - jazz instrumental

Amy Winehouse - Mr. Magic *highly recommend

    Jamiroquai - Runaway

    Towa Tei - Love Connection

    John Mayer - 83

    John Mayer - Heartbreak Warfare

    Van Morrison - Moondance

Tribe Called Quest - Electric Relaxation

    Rock with you - MJ

    Kem - Lifted

    Jill Scott - Golden

Bob Sinclair - World, hold on

    Vanessa Williams - Cold Outside

Frank Sinatra - The Way you Look

Frank Sinatra - Nice and Easy

Stevie Wonder - All I do

Paul Anka - Smells like Teen Spirit

Peter Brown - Dance with me

    Outkast - Favorite Things

    Donny Hathaway - This Christmas

Jackson 5 - Blame it on the boogie
