What is the difference between asexual reproduction and self fertilization?

Asexual reproduction: the organism go through fission/budding and become two organisms
Self fertilization: the organism made 1N sex cells e.g. sperm/egg/megaspore/pollen etc and then these sex cells of the same individual fertilize each other.
So the main difference:
The whole reproductive process in asexual reproduction, all the cells remain 2N.
At some point of the process of self fertilization, sex cells [1N] are involved.
