We utilized zebrafish grown under specific pathogen free conditions and the cells used were from the bone marrow equivalent in fish, the possibility of low expression of MR in these cells could account for the lack of mannan inhibition and the apparent uptake of FITC-DX by macropinocytosis alone

The possibility of low expression of MR in these cells could account for the lack of mannan inhibition and the apparent uptake of FITC-DX by macropinocytosis alone.
