Would you ever say, “From hell’s heart I stab at thee; for hate’s sake I spit my last breath at thee”?

Could you ever hate something or someone so much that you would use your last breath to curse them?

Only if I were Khan. Ricardo Montalban can get away with lines like that, because he's Ricardo Montalban. It's like Patrick Stewart saying "anti-lock brakes" in that commercial, nobody cares because he's Patrick Stewart.

Personally, I'd just say something like "ow, that really hurt", and then die.

  • I might say that if I was an actor in a Star Trek movie.

Doesn't sound like something anyone would say. If you were about to die could you really spit all that out?

If I used such an archaic and portentous tone, I would be too busy laughing to hate anything.
