Why does my wife's head shake?
I think it was about 4 months ago when I first noticed my wife's head shaking. I am very concerned now because I see it more often and I ask her if she can feel that, but she says NO. She is only 36yrs old, she has no pain anywhere, and no previous injuries. Can anyone tell me what can cause this and what could happen in the long run? What kind of specialist will she be seeing?

Tremor is a symptom of another neurological disorder.
Here are the causes...
I would highlight 'essential tremor & and 'physiologic tremor'. Read both.
Could be due to hyperthyroidism in 'physiologic tremor'.
There is no cure for most tremors. The appropriate treatment depends on accurate diagnosis of the cause. Some tremors respond to treatment of the underlying condition.
If its hyperthyroidism, she needs an endocrinologist, if not, a neurologist.Source(s): wikipedia
