What does "What am i chopped liver?" mean?

i hear it all the time but i don't understand what it means. help me!

    That question implies you feel you are being overlooked, not liked, or avoided.

    Many people do not like liver, thus the expression of comparing yourself to an objectionable item.

    Chopped liver is a liver of animal that is chopped and not many people like it. So bre marie when here someone says "What am I chopped liver", they mean did you just forget about me.

    TESSE! Think very little about it no one will be good on Good Friday, that's the tradition of man an excuse to go to church or preach. It's when Jesus was crucified for our sins, he died and went to hades, on Sunday morning rose again. He is alive now in the human heart by the Holy Spirit and is in heaven with our Father God. Being good on Friday doesn't have nothing to do with it. Everybody with not be good every day. Take care! Jimmy.

    It means, "What am I, not good enough?", because chopped liver is disliked by many people (I love it).
