how much of an hp increase can I expect from a TRD supercharger on a scion tc?

    its debatable.... TRD claims a 40hp increase from the stock 160hp to 200hp... though that 160hp is actually crank horsepower and true power is at the wheels. so if you figure in the drivetrain lose the 160hp is about 140-145WHP (wheel horsepower)... the 200hp the TRD charger gives is interestingly enough, hp to the wheels. so if you do the math to the wheels you are getting about an additional the crank its similar but a the crank the TRD charger should be rated at 215-225bhp range. turbo magazine did a comparison and found this...

    though using that money for a turbo instead of a supercharger is a better investment. you can get a 6-8 psi tune on the turbo and pushed similar 200-230whp safe. a little more matenance, and frequent oil changes but worth it.

    About 40 hp depending on what year tC you have. The supercharged ones are rated at 200 hp.
